Dear NESAWG Community,
We are sad to announce that we have decided to cancel our 2020 conference, which was set to come to Providence, RI, this November. Given the uncertainty about the pandemic, concern over the safety of gathering in large groups, and the need for our partners and presenters to focus on more pressing needs, it feels like the right decision. Our venue, the Graduate Hotel in downtown Providence, has been understanding and flexible, and will be hosting the event in 2021.
We believe this is a minor setback in the grand scheme of things, and are excited to work with an amazing group of volunteers to help plan our 2021 conference that will center equity and showcase the work of farm and food systems leaders in and around Rhode Island. In the meantime, we don't intend to leave you without NESAWG content. We will be holding a webinar series this fall, and will keep you posted on the details in the coming months.
We hope you stay well and healthy and we are excited for the day that we can gather together in person and figure out how to apply what we've learned from this crisis to our work moving forward.
In gratitude for your hard work,
