Transforming Food Access Summit: Accelerating Affordability with Nutrition Incentives

Nutrition incentives have played a transformational role in providing affordable access to healthy fruits and vegetables for hundreds of thousands of low-income consumers. This is an event you won't want to miss: an opportunity to gather a diverse range of visionaries, community-based organizations, researchers, healthcare practitioners and more to advance solutions toward the next phase of food equity and healthy food access. Attendees - whether national policymakers or grassroots-level leaders - will take away practical and innovative tactics to improve access to healthy, locally-grown food.

Keynote Speaker (invited) will be Debra Eschmeyer, Executive Director of Let's Move! and Senior Policy Adviser for Nutrition Policy at The White House. Wholesome Wave Georgia will act as local host organization for the summit. Learn more here.

Wholesome Wave is seeking presenters, panels, and workshops for the summit. The proposal deadline is September 18, 2015. Submission instructions can be found here. Topic areas will include: nutrition incentives in a sustainable and equitable food system; program design; research; policy; nutrition incentives in retail environments and healthcare integration.
